Job Title: Assoc. Director, Network Accreditation and Accountability
Department: Research, Evaluation and Learning Management
Reports To: Director, Research and Evaluation
FLSA Status: EXEMPT
SUMMARY
The Associate Director, under supervision of the Director of Research and Evaluation, leads implementation of the national accreditation process of the Communities in Schools Total Quality System (TQS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing leadership for the development of a national accreditation program
Design and implement pilot test for accreditation process
Lead accreditation teams of national staff and network representatives in the process of reviewing distance data, conducting onsite visits, and preparing and presenting reports of findings
Develop and maintain tools and resources associated with a national accreditation process, including records of all accreditation review findings for periodic analysis and planning
Formulating and implementing a long-term plan and schedule for conducting network accreditation reviews of local affiliates and state offices
Providing periodic updates/reports to national staff to facilitate training and technical assistance for local affiliates and state offices
Develop and conducting national, regional and local workshops on the CIS Total Quality System Standards and accreditation process.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or related discipline, with minimum of 8 years successful direct experience designing and implementing various credentialing programs, accreditation reviews, curriculum assessments for educational institutions or various organizations with responsibilities for variety of assessment and programmatic issues.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Applicant must have excellent written and oral communications skills. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret research journals, reports, and other technical documents. Also, must be able to effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences and work individually, or with teams, to author user-friendly manuals, reports, journal articles, etc. Ability to apply a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point to analyze data, produce quality reports and presentation materials.
ATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Applicant must have the ability to apply fundamental mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Applicant must have the ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, as well as the ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
This position will require travel to and from the national office and local affiliates and state offices on a regular basis. The employee will need to be able to manage the physical demands of travel in out of airports, taxis and be responsible for the transport of materials in route.
