Description

Sodexo, in Prestonburg, KY, is seeking a Culinary Instructor for a new piece of business. The successful candidate must have knowledge of the hotel/restaurant industry. Be familiar with all aspects of the hospitality industry to include sanitation, cooking, preparing, saute, braising, HACCP, production, ordering, menu development, food costs, inventory, baking, soups, sauces, meat and seafood cutting. Having teaching experience is a necessity.

Candiate must be a certified Serve Safe Instructor. Candidate will be teaching students aging from 18-21 in a Job Corp atmosphere. The candidate must know how to put together subject plans, prepare tests, grade tests, assign projects, have some relationships with local hotels and Food & Beverage operations. Requirements

Instructs students in culinary art skills. Manage daily activity in culinary art career and technical education program within Skill Center. Directs education programs under Skill Centers policies and procedures. Follows established curriculum.

Basic Education Requirement: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 1 year of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 1 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.Position Posting Title: Culinary Instructor
