Description

The vibrant “All America City” of Lancaster, PA has a great opportunity for an experienced human resources professional who will play a key strategic role in the administration.  The Human Resources Bureau Chief has responsibility for all aspects of the human resources function for the City, including organizational and leadership development, compensation planning and administration, recruitment, performance management, labor relations, benefits, training, and legal compliance.  The demonstrated ability to work effectively with unions, be innovative and proactive, and to build strong relationships with our 600+ employees, management, the administration, and the community is essential.

Requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or business administration


- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in human resources management and labor relations


- Extensive union/labor relations experience


- PHR certification 


- Experience working in the public sector is highly desirable.
